Live Market Charts and Graphs
Welcome to our custom live market reporting interface.
We call it a live report because it is based on active listings, gathered and processed from many different sources for us by Altos Research.
You can configure it to display charts and graphs of various statistics on different markets from Santa Cruz to Big Sur.
There is a lot of information here, so take your time and explore.
A few of the more unique parameters available are:
1) Market Action Index: This is an Altos Research proprietary algorithm which measures and compares several statistics in order to determine the balance of supply and demand in a market. A reading above 30 tends to indicate a Sellers Market, and a reading below 30 tends to indicate a Buyers Market.
2) Price Range Quartiles: These are 4 equally sized segments of the current properties. The top quartile represents the most expensive 25% of homes, while the bottom quartile represents the least expensive 25% of homes. It can be very revealing to watch how the different market segments behave.
